I thought I'd put up a few photos as a tribute to her.
A blog of my daily thoughts, ideas, and ponderings (skewed towards the perspective of an over-educated, nature/dog/northern loving, chronically ill, Canadian woman).
Thought for the Day:
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
Without the words,
and never stops at all.
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
Without the words,
and never stops at all.

Aawww.... I'm really sorry to hear this. You must be feeling very sad. I hope you will be ok...
ReplyDeleteGo easy on yourself.
found your blog through blue butterflies. i too have ME/CFS and also a doggy companion. my days are never lonely coz he is by my side.
ReplyDeletei can't imagine your grief right now, but i can tell you this. she will visit you, check you are ok, even if its just in your dreams. xxx
*hugs* I am so sorry for your loss. It is very difficult to lose a pet, but I think it's even harder when they provide unfailing comfort and friendship during chronic illness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your supportive comments all. It's been really hard. It will take time. But I'll be OK....I like the idea of her visiting me in my dreams Emily - thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss. The photos of Merlin are a lovely tribute.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your loss. :( Glad you have lots of good memories with her... no doubt she was just as grateful to have been a part of your life all those years, too.
