I was lucky enough to get outside for a short outing recently. They plowed the parking lot of my favourite local park. Late afternoon when the shadows were long and the sun was low in the sky, Teagan and I had ourselves a gentle walk. Here are a few photos.
Nothing much new going on. I'm still spending my time each morning working: rewriting, editing. The process is achingly slow.
Health wise, I've had two of my worst days in recent memory, but some days have been fine…meaning sick, but not unbearable. Still, I've been mostly homebound, (which is pretty normal). I spend most my time reclined in bed, on the couch or in my recliner and less than an hour a week out of the house most weeks. Sometimes I'm at peace with it, sometimes I get pretty lonely and feel some level of despair about my life. And so it goes...

ReplyDeleteglad you had some "not so sick" days, which were still sick days.
my condition is climbing up. i canceled my weekday classes so i can have 4 days straight to rest, which does make big difference.
hope you rest well and rest more.
Stunning photos! I'm so glad you got out for a while, and that dog beard is so funny!
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you managed to get some time outside the house. I've experienced times of being at home for long periods and one minute it's great and everything is fine, then there's an urging of wanting to get out to see the rest of the world but you're in pain. I'm in pain once again so I'll be home for a few days I think. At least I have large windows with beautiful views. And it's nowhere near -20. And I can try to get some blogging in.
ReplyDeleteHope you have an enjoyable weekend.
Love the photos especially the one with you (sorry if it's not you) and the dog. It looks happy and jolly.
Love your photos --- sooo beautiful! This illness is such a roller coaster, isn't it. Do you find your symptoms to be worse during the winter? I know I do (especially the fibro). Hope the really bad days didn't last too long.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is beautiful up there ! I'm glad you and your dog had some happy moments.
